Sandipani Ashram is around 2 km from Ujjain. It is the hermitage of Sandipani Muni, the tutor of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna and Sudama received regular instruction in this ashram. Gomti Kund, a stepped water tank, is situated near the ashram. It was the source of water supply to the ashram in the olden days.
